The Strasburg Borough Authority (SBA) is charged with the operation of our water and sanitary sewer systems. After careful review, SBA made the difficult decision to raise water & sewer rates by 5%, effective October 1, 2025 (you will not see the increase until the January 2026 bill). This difficult decision was made after reviewing maintenance and operations costs and evaluating future system needs and infrastructure upgrades to continue to provide our customers with excellent water quality and safe transmission of sanitary sewer.
To provide perspective, a minimum (under 5,000 gallons) water and sewer user’s quarterly bill will increase from $110.69 to $116.22. SBA’s average (11,000 gallons) water and sewer user’s quarterly bill will increase from $236.43 to $248.25. To view the rate schedule, visit https://strasburgboro.org/departments/water-sewer/.
