Strasburg Borough is proud to offer the community an opportunity to honor a past or present Strasburg-area member of the Armed Forces with a Hometown Hero street banner.

Banners will be 24” x 48” and include a picture of the service member, name, rank, and branch of service.  Banners will be hung for 2 seasons (a season is May-October) and then retired and returned to the sponsor.  The cost to sponsor a banner is $250.  This cost helps cover the manufacturing of the banner and mounting kit.  Any excess funds will be reserved in our civic celebrations account to support community activities. No taxpayer dollars will fund the banners.

Space is limited to roughly 40 banners per round, this program operates on a first-come, first-served basis.  In order to accommodate the most families, the Borough reserves the right to limit the number of applications per family, per round.  Applications received that cannot be accommodated in the current round will be kept and placed on a waiting list for the next available round.
