At the January 13, 2026 Strasburg Borough Council meeting, Borough Council accepted Tom Lainhoff’s resignation from HARB and HARB’s 2025 CLG Annual Report. They approved the payment of bills, HARB Certificate of Appropriateness for 11 East Main Street, Resolution 2026-2 for Borough and Police Department Records Retention, and the extension of the 2024 Road Paving Bid to Asphalt Maintenance Solutions LLC.
The Borough Manager’s written report was reviewed, and the following items were discussed.
- The East Main/South Decatur Street stormwater project is scheduled to begin next week.
- The Borough has been recommended to receive a $350,000.00 grant for the Eshelman Run Streambank Restoration Project.
- There will be a Planning Commission meeting February 2nd for a lot add-on on Miller Street and to review their Annual Report.
- The Borough pre-audit was completed and went well. The remaining portion of the audit is scheduled for Feb. 2nd, 3rd, and if needed, 12th. The Borough is still waiting for the Pension Audit Report.
The Police Chief reported 337 calls for service for the month of December 2025. There were 2 criminal arrests, 2 speeding arrests, 8 other traffic arrests, 11 traffic warnings, and 5 accidents.
