Construction work went well this week. The East Main Street portion of the project is finished, with the exception of a few small items. The road detour will be removed tomorrow, Friday, May 22nd, as planned.
The South Decatur Street project work will begin next week, with the road closure going in place on Tuesday, May 26th. The road closure will include the first two blocks of South Decatur Street, from Center Square to Funk Street. There will be no through traffic permitted. Residents and business employees impacted have been given yellow passes to display in their vehicles for access to that portion of the street. The construction crew will be staging materials, boxes, and equipment on Tuesday and excavation will begin on Wednesday on the east side of the street and into the roadway.
