7 “Massasoit Hall” in Center Square, erected in 1856. A large brick building, long the focal point of the town’s activities. The first floor is 11′ high, the second is 15′ and the third 10′. This building houses the I.O.O.F. meeting rooms. Carries a plaque with the date of 1856.

Acquired its central chimney when it was converted to a two-family dwelling c. 1830. Cited by Robert C. Bucher, Montgomery County authority on log houses, as “having interesting features”.
